Let it be known that life as we know it will soon be the same. Interesting point isn't it, I'm sure you are saying "huh?" Let me assure you that life tomorrow will be very much the same as life was today. That being said I can also assure you that life tomorrow can be very different than life was today. How you may ask? Well let's explore that concept a little.
Life today was full of problems, disappointments, heartache, and pain right? Well let me introduce a friend of mine. This is Jesus, by simply accepting the sacrifice He made for you and the fact that you need help in dealing with the problems of life He can make tomorrow a much different experience than you have had at any time in your life up to this point. The only thing you have to do to accept this is to ask Him to forgive you of the sins of the past and begin the journey of discovery. This journey of discovery will take you to places of joy, peace, and happiness. It will also take you into the depths of self revelation, a place where your innermost thoughts and desires will be revealed.
There will be trouble as well but as long as you keep your eyes on Christ he will bring you through it. As I have experienced many many times, if God brings you to it He will bring you through it.
Christ was sent to earth to reconcile the relationship that God had with Adam at the time of creation. This relationship was one of love, respect, and admiration. It was the relationship of father and son. It displays the excitement that I witness on my children faces when I come home from work on Saturday afternoon. This is the relationship He wants to have with us.
Let me ask a question, in our "young and stupid" years, did your earthly father ever help you out of a pinch? Mine has for me quite often, both physically, financially, and emotionally. Do you think he would have done that if you were not speaking to him?
I propose that God is the same way. How, you may ask? Because His Word says so, Psalm 91:1-4
"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I trust. For then He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence"
This passage is the opening to one of the greatest promises God has ever made to man, If we examine the context of verses 2, 3, and 4 we find that the promise made here is conditional upon our satisfying verse 1, "He who dwells in the secret place".
If I may be so bold, I'm going to ask you to do some reading. No I'm not giving a test on this later, I just hope that I have piqued your interest a little. Point your browser over to WWW.BIBLE.COM and look up Psalms chapter 91.
May you find the happiness your heart desires and the peace you soul has been desperate for.
